A Trans-America Bicycle Tour

Elaine Miller joined a WomanTours cross-country bicycle tour for women over fifty in the spring of 1998. It was also a breast cancer benefit. A group of 20 women spent seven weeks (March – May) riding along the southern boundary of the U. S., from San Diego, California to St. Augustine, Florida. The experience is documented, and available for presentation, in an illustrated commentary that describes both the mundane and the “exotic” experiences, the practical and the fanciful moments of the adventure.
